Based outside Atlanta in Buford, Georgia, Kinetic Motorsports was established as a full service race and prep shop for Porsche race cars and customer's street rides. Success on the track in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup resulted in a switch to campaigning BMWs in the Grand-American Road Racing, Continental Tire Series. .
In late 2009, Kia Motors America asked Kinetic to set up a program to campaign the new Kia Forte Koup. As the first– and still only– Kia race team in the world, Kinetic Motorsports designed, built and raced two cars for the Continental Tire Series ST class in 2010-2012.
In addition to a number of trips to the podium, Kinetic won a Driver’s and Team Championship for Kia in its second season.
